With: Ebru Ceylan, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Nazan Kırılmıs, Mehmet Eryılmaz, Arif Asçı, Can Özbatur, Ufuk Bayraktar, Fatma Ceylan

Man was made to be happy for simple reasons and unhappy for even simpler ones – just as he is born for simple reasons and dies for even simpler ones... Isa and Bahar are two lonely figures dragged through the ever-changing climate of their inner selves in pursuit of a happiness that no longer belongs to them.

A fascinating study about a couple in a crisis and the human incapacity to achieve happiness played by the director and his wife Ebru Ceylan themselves.

In Erki De Vries’s abstract scenography, the room is repeatedly divided, with threads and knots, into new cells, in which the two bodies orientate and adapt – even in the face of obvious physical resistance.
